IT IS COMPULSORY TO DEFINE THE STORAGE CLASS OF A VARIABLE ALONG WITH ITS DATATYPE. STORAGE CLASSES TELLS 4 THINGS ABOUT A VARIABLE.


1) IN WHICH PART OF MEMORY THE VARIABLE WOULD BE STORED(RAM OR CPU REGISTERED).


2) WHAT WOULD BE THE DEFAULT VALUE IF THE VALUE IS NOT INITIALIZE IN THE VARIABLE.


3) WHAT WOULD BE THE SCOPE OF THE VARIABLE TO WHICH FUNCTIONS & BLOCK THE VARIABLE WOULD BE AVAILABLE.


4) WHAT WOULD BE THE LIFE OF THE VARIABLE.
